This blog definitely rekindles my interest in VoIP with Asterisk. I got to learn about it starting in Dallas through the school of (really and brutally) hard knocks. Like you I’m also in Houston and wish to do either the same or similar type of setup. I’m also looking at possibly using an Asterisk server to also accept a connection from remote (I’m a regional field service technician and this might be worth a look). Thanks.
