Gigaset Keypads Are Backlit

mjgraves | August 3, 2009

I can’t recall where but someone recently asked me if the keypads on the Gigaset SIP/DECT handsets are backlit. At that very moment I didn’t know, but I have since confirmed that all three (A58H, S67H and SL78) are in fact backlit. Here’s a composite image of all three handsets to illustrate that fact.

The backlight is most obvious on the S67H model, even in the day time. However, all three are lit well enough to make them usable in a dim or darkened room.

Gigaset Gear Starting To Hit US Retailers

mjgraves | July 1, 2009

SL78H Gigaset Gear Starting To Hit US RetailersEarlier today Michael White at E4 tweeted that he had just received his shipment of Gigaset SL78H handsets. The SL78H is the high-end handset that Gigaset is offering as an optional addition to the A580IP and S675IP basic SIP/DECT systems. I’ll be going into detail about it eventually, but not until after I’ve reviewed the two base systems.

It’s unclear if the other systems are in stock yet, but they’re due any day.
