Nir Simionovich as nice little post revisiting the Pika Warp Asterisk Appliance now that it uses the Asterisk GUI v2.0. I’ve always admired Pika’s effort in the Asterisk appliance space. It’s an interesting platform on which to develop niche IP telephony solutions.

TrackbackEarlier today I had a comment from Dave Clark of Pika Technologies. He pointed me to WARP Xtra, a new web site that they have launched with the express intent of developing a user/developer community around their new WARP Asterisk appliance.
I had a quick look around and it certainly appears interesting. Part blog and with a lot of technical detail the site covers a lot of bases. Dave has a nice post called “10 things I didn’t know 18 months ago” that details some things learned in the development of the Warp appliance.
While it’s still very new this looks to me like a good channel for reaching out to the reseller, integrator & developer communities. It’s nice to see the effort to develop community around embedded Asterisk.
